{The D Family} PreDeployment Session

It's always bittersweet to photograph a predeployment session. I do love seeing families interact together- how much they love each other. I get SO many genuine emotions. But knowing that the soldier is leaving soon breaks my heart. My goal with each predeployment session is to give my clients lasting memories to hold on to while they are away from each other.

I really enjoyed spending the very early morning with Brittany and DJ! We had fun exploring Salado, and it was great to just photography their love for each other!

Enjoy their images!

{The W's Anniversary} |Central Texas Natural Light Photographer

I loved getting to spend some time with this sweet couple. After shooting their daughter's family a few weeks ago, I was thrilled when they contacted me to shoot them for their anniversary. Can you believe they've been married for FORTY-FOUR years?! It was so nice to be able to walk through Chalk Falls and get some advice on their marriage- plus, we couldn't stop laughing! I love seeing a couple that is still so in love! Enjoy their session :)

Happy 10th Anniversary {The W Family}

I met Brenna at a mutual friend's son's birthday party. She contacted me soon after about shooting a special session for her and her husband's 10th anniversary! (I couldn't believe that she had been married 10 years!) Brenna is so creative- when we arrived at the session, she opened the trunk to reveal a whole bunch of fun props.  She even brought a little cake to cut with the original servingware used at their wedding, as well as this amazing quilt that her grandmother made her for their wedding. I love that you can see that quilt is weathered and has holes because it has been used a lot over the past 10 years!  It is so awesome when clients make or bring their own props to really help their session be unique! Happy Anniversary Brenna & Ryan- Enjoy ♥

{Brandon & Brandi} Engagement Session

I met Brandon & Brandi through a client I had back in July. They are getting married in New Orleans in January! How fun :) We headed to downtown Austin for our shoot, and then over to a nearby park! It was a beautiful evening! Congratulations, and enjoy your sneak peek!

{Allison & Trevor} Post-Deployment

 I met Allison in 2011 when we would sit near each other at our husband's softball games and cheer for them talk! Trevor and Al have become great friends of my husband and me, so it's a great pleasure when they ask me to do their photos! Trevor recently returned from deployment and Allison asked me to update their pictures. Last session we stuck to Salado, this time we wanted to get outside of the box. Allison grew up in the Austin area, so she introduced me to so many pretty new spots! I love how all the places we went had a special significance to her and Trevor's relationship. Enjoy your pictures- and welcome home Trevor! :)

{Matt & Amor} Post Deployment

Matt & Amor are both in the military, and after his recent homecoming in April, they asked me to do a post-deployment session for them! They were so much fun! We headed out to Salado with their sweet German Shepherd- Amor had so many fun props! It was a great session until about 7pm when Matt started getting bit by lots of mosquitoes, so we decided to cut the session short and head home. When we got there, Amor decided that it would be fun to pull out the wine barrel that they had- and we finished their session in their front yard! How fun! :) Unfortunately Amor is set to deploy in August- and we are already planning the spring photos for when she will be home!
